SCOTT REMER

Senior Director of development


Scott serves as the Senior Director of Development for Hexagon Energy. He is responsible for the development and management of wind and solar energy projects, including market analysis, site identification, community and landowner outreach, property leases, and early feasibility studies.

Prior to joining Hexagon, Scott worked on the holistic development of infrastructure systems both within the U.S. and internationally. He served as an infrastructure and engineering consultant with the U.S. Navy in several Pacific island nations. He has worked with Parsons Corporation as a consultant to U.S. Customs and Border Protection and has experience with engineering design and construction firms Manhattan Construction and Jacobs Engineering. He has also worked as a lecturer in Engineering Ethics at the University of Virginia.

Scott holds a Ph.D. in Systems and Information Engineering at the University of Virginia, an M.S. from George Mason University in Civil and Infrastructure Engineering, and a B.S. with highest honors and a number of awards, including the Volgeneau School Outstanding Undergraduate award. He was the Peter and Chrysler Quick Fellow through the Jefferson Scholars Foundation at the University of Virginia.
